PRESENTATION OF A NEW JOINT PhD PROGRAM IN “Data Science”: FRIDAY, JUNE 16, AT NOON, SCUOLA NORMALE - Pisa, SALA STEMMI

Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Università di PisaScuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca and CNR are delighted to announce a new joint PhD program in Data Science. The new program covers a wide variety of topics in statistics, programming, data analysis, machine learning, and neural computation. The institutions for higher education in Pisa and Lucca area have maintained strong collaborative research interactions and worked in an interdisciplinary environment.

The Joint PhD students will earn an interdisciplinary degree and address challenging issues through scientifically rigorous research. Our joint PhD students will collaborate with faculty, alumni, and fellow students, and have the opportunity to engage with a community of scholars throughout Pisa and Lucca universities.

The Data Science program is a full-time degree program (details to be announced). Students are expected to complete their program in three years. The presentation for the Joint PhD agreement will take place on Friday, June 16, at noon, in Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore (piazza dei Cavalieri, Sala Stemmi). The conference brings together: Professor Vincenzo Barone and Professor Fabrizio Lillo (Scuola Normale Superiore); Professor  Pierdomenico Perata (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna); Professor Marcella Aglietti and Professor Dino Pedreschi (Università di Pisa); Professor Pietro Pietrini (IMT Alti Studi Lucca); researchers Claudio Montani and Fosca Giannotti (CNR) and Massimo Marini, journalist.
